I appear to have made another local friend. This brings the total up to 3. I am starting to feel almost popular! And, ironically, I met this local friend from the local bbs I complain about so much...

Reading political threads on the local bbs is a bit like banging your head against a wall really hard. And yet, I feel the need to "contribute", to try to maybe change their perspective just a little... Maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment.

I rejoined the Kent Island forums a couple weeks ago to ask for suggestions for pain management doctors. I just posted asking about creating a book club on there, to see if anyone would be interested. I am also thinking about responding to this Craigslist ad. It's been awhile since I've posted a meaningful update. While in Salt Lake City, I did visit the Buddhist Temple. Unfortunately, it was pretty disappointing. I was expecting a statue of buddha, pillows or benches for people to meditate on, and maybe some Buddhist monks meditating.
